Two new matrix screens are available in the Development Template Workbench and the Surveyors Lot Workbench:
A Resource Substitution Matrix allows you to update resource substitutions for lots. It shows which resources require substitution, allows you to update the substitutions for multiple lots, and allows you to review the completeness and accuracy of the substitutions made.
A Resource Price view of the Resource Matrix provides an efficient way to update subcontract prices (which are specific for each template).
BQ Resource Substitutions Matrix
The Resource Substitution Matrix shows resources requiring substitution as rows and lots as columns, with the substituted resource in each cell. The Resource Substitution Matrix is available in the Development Template Workbench and the Surveyors Lot Workbench.
Each cell displays one of the following:
“No Items” if the resource requiring substitution does not occur in the development template bill for the template of the lot.
Blank with a red background if the resource requiring substitution does occur in the development template bill for the template of the lot and no resource code has been entered. These cells are updateable within the matrix: you can enter a valid resource code (which must be one not requiring substitution). A tooltip shows “Please enter the resource code”.
The resource code with a green background if a resource code has been entered. These cells are updateable within the matrix: you can update with a valid resource code. A tooltip shows the description of the resource code.
Actions
The following action is available on the right-click cell menu.
Lookup Resource Code. This provides a lookup of resources (only those not requiring substitution) and returns the selected resource to the cell(s).

The following action is available on the right-click row menu.

Updating the resource substitution matrix also updates the existing resource substitution browse.
BQ Resource Matrix - Resource Price View
A new Resource Price view of the Resource Matrix in the Development Template Workbench and the Surveyors Lot Workbench gives an efficient way to update prices for resources across all templates (or lots). This is particularly appropriate for subcontract prices which are specific to each template.
Each cell displays one of the following:
“No Items” if the resource does not occur in the development template bill (or the lot bill).
The price if the resource does occur in the development template bill (or the lot bill). You can update these cells with a price. A tooltip shows the price units, quantity, unit, and value.
Actions
The following actions are available on the right-click cell and row menus.
Nominate Supplier
Apply Prices
Set as "Ready to Use"
Set as "Not Ready to Use"
These are the same actions as on the other views of the Resource matrix. The standard Copy and Paste actions are also available on the cell menu.
