The COINS Construction Marketplace (“Marketplace”) is a cloud-based multi-tenanted system. It provides an Amazon-like shopping experience for users to “order” items.
The word “order” is in quotes since, when the user checks out their basket, the list of materials is sent into the corresponding COINS system as a requisition. COINS will typically be configured to launch the requisition into workflow. Since many of the items will have agreed prices, the majority of requisitions will be automatically approved, and orders raised and committed automatically as well.
For those suppliers that can receive and process BASDA XML orders, messages are sent to the COINSetc hub for forwarding on to the supplier.
