A Payroll Variation Report is available in Payroll > [Payroll frequency] > Reports. It allows you to identify the differences in key components of Payroll between This Period and Last Period. It can help Payroll personnel to better review what has been processed in Payroll.

Selection Screen

When you select Payroll Variation Report from the Reports menu, the report selection screen appears, as shown in Report Selection Screen. Here you can select the periods you wish to compare with the key components of payroll. The key components you select are based on the payroll region you are using; for example, Report Selection Screen shows the US Region screen. Samples of the remaining Region screens are shown in the next section.

Data for any employee is included in This Period. If an employee does not have data in the Last Period, it is displayed as $0.

For any region that allows multiple payroll cheques in a single period, you should only evaluate Cheque 1 for This Period to Cheque 1 for Last Period.

If TS Input Groups are not in use or This Payroll is posted, sorting is done by Payroll Component by Employee.
