System Administration Workbench

The System Administrator Workbench is designed for the main administrator of an environment and Coins staff to aid the support of End Users.

It provides ease of access to tools and enquiries and log files, already available via COINSAdmin and UNIX, in a single workbench in the Coins ERP+ System Module.

System > System Administration

A dashboard of real time information based on the current statuses of User, Reports and ESB Messages.

Field

Description

Current Logged in Users

The total number of individual user IDs currently using Coins ERP+.

COINSplus Users

The number of users logged in using COINSplus.

Current Role Users

The number of users logged in using role-based licensing.

Active Sessions

The number of sessions which have had activity in the last 60 seconds.

Idle Sessions

The number of sessions which have had no activity in the last 60 seconds.

Generators Running

The number of report generators currently running.

Reports Waiting

The number of reports currently with status Waiting.

Reports Generating

The number of reports currently Generating.

Completed Today

Reports completed today.

with Warnings

Reports completed today with warnings.

with Errors

Reports completed today with errors.

Report Waiting (Secs)

The age, in seconds, of the report that has been in a Waiting status longest.

Queued Messages

The number of queued messages.

New Messages

The number of new messages.

Sent Messages

The number of messages sent today.

Message Waiting (Secs)

The age, in seconds, of the message that has been in a Waiting status longest.

Current Users Tab

System > System Administration

Current Users shows information about the users who are currently using Coins ERP+, and what they are doing. This includes users of COINSplus and Coins ERP+.

You can delete inactive WEB sessions to release the Coins ERP+ Licence being used. If you delete an active session, that user will be forced to log in again.

It is not possible to delete a COINSplus session via this enquiry; the record will be locked and not accessible.

Field

Description

User ID

The ID of the Coins ERP+ user.This field links to: User Details

The status of this user is shown by a coloured indicator:

Green = Active (defined as having made a request in the last five minutes).

Amber = Logged in but inactive.

IP Address

The IP address of this connection.

Log in

The date and time that this user logged in to Coins ERP+.

Last Request

The date and time of the last page request made by the session (if the session has multiple open windows, this is the last request from any of the Windows).

Terminal

This shows either:

WEB if the user is running a Coins ERP+ session.

The UNIX TTY port number of the session if the user is running a syl_tty session.

Company

The company that the user is currently logged in to.

Function

The function that the user is currently running.

Description

The function name as it appears in the title bar.

The actions you can apply to these records include:

Send Message allows you to send a message to the selected users. This message will pop up in the bottom right corner of the users' Coins ERP+ screen, if they are logged in.

Select one or more records and use the Choose Action list to select the action and click Apply Action.

Fixes Enquiry Tab

System > System Administration

This enquiry shows the current installed Fixes on this Coins ERP+ environment. The information is taken from the current Fixes directory and Fix data file created by COINSAdmin.

Description

Fix

The fix number as provided by Coins ERP+.

Description

The description of the correction in the fix, Service Pack details or pre-release information.

Released

The date the fix file was created.

Date Installed

The date the fix file was installed on this environment.

Time Installed

The time the fix file was installed on this environment.

Product

The Coins ERP+ Product Group.

Priority

The priority of the fix. For more information on fix priorities please visit the Coins ERP+ Website.

Type

The type of the fix file: Service Pack, Correction or Pre-release.

Task

The Coins ERP+ Development Task.

Parameter Enquiries Tab

System > System Administration

Parameter Enquiry

Parameter Enquiry allows you to enquire on the settings of parameters across all Coins ERP+ modules. Where appropriate, it also shows company-specific parameter settings.

Field

Module

The two-letter abbreviation of the module to which the parameter belongs.

ID

The parameter ID.

Description

Short text to explain the purpose of the parameter.

Value

The global value of the parameter

Company

Is this setting specific to the current company?

Company Value

The company-specific setting in the current company.

To change the values of parameters listed in this enquiry, you need to use System > System Setup > Global Parameters or the parameter maintenance function in the appropriate module.

Parameter Audit Enquiries

Two additional enquiries are available based on the standard System and Company specific Parameter Audit details. These enquiries will allow System Administrators to quickly check recent (last 30 days) or all parameter changes. These are filtered by Parameter ID, Date, User, Module and Old and New Values.

Parameter Audit displays the audit history of all Coins ERP+ (system) parameters, showing when each parameter was changed, by whom and what the parameter value was changed from and to. The REPGENUP parameter is not included in this enquiry.

Company Parameter Audit displays the audit history of all company-specific Coins ERP+ parameters, showing when each parameter was changed, by whom, and what the parameter value was changed from and to (or whether the parameter was created or deleted).
